The Som-Lalit Education and Research Foundation (SLERF) inaugurated Som-Lalit International Centre of Thought (SLICOT) on 21st July, 2015. The noble philosophy enshrined by the centre is that knowledge has no boundary and hence at this centre the research work will be conducted touching various spheres of life like Philosophy, Sociology, Psychology, Art, Science of Life-Physical and Living. The mission of this centre is to effectively work for the Holistic Thought and Way of Life Across the world. The centre will arrange conferences, seminars, lectures and participative programmes in India and abroad and will bring out and support publications. The centre is the brain child of these four visionaries; Professor K.S. Shastri ,Chairman, SLERF-SLICOT, Former Vice Chancellor, Gujarat University and South Gujarat University; Shri Pragnesh K. Shastri, Managing Trustee, SLERF- SLICOT; Acharya Prof. Yajneshwar S. Shastri, Honorary Director, SLICOT, Former Director, University School of Philosophy, Gujarat University and Dr Chirstopher Key Chapple , Advisor, SLICOT, Professor of Indic and Comparative Theology at Loyola Marymount University Los Angles ,USA . The opening ceremony of the centre was held at the Hotel Radisson Blu, Ahmedabad on the above date and the ceremony was graced by dignitaries across the field. The guests at the event were mesmerized by the speech and ideology of these four visionaries. The ceremony was followed by dinner.
